ENROLLMENT: 845 medical students; nearly 400 graduate students; no undergraduates STUDENT/FACULTY RATIO: Medical School: approximately 2:1 Graduate school: 1:1 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Medical School: Candidates for admission to the Medical College of Wisconsin must apply to the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) through the AAMC website. All applicants must take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). The MCAT must be taken within three years prior to matriculation. Applicants are required to have earned a minimum of 90 undergraduate graded credits, including the prerequisites, at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada. However, applicants are strongly encouraged to have a bachelor's degree. Graduate School: Baccalaureate degree required. Holistic application review is conducted, including application, reference letters, transcripts, and GRE scores. DEGREES OFFERED: MD, PhD, MD/PhD, MD/MS, MS, MSA, MPH, MA and MMP. Certificates in Clinical Bioethics, Clinical and Translational Science, Population Health Management, Public Health, Public Health Ethics, and Research Ethics. TUITION AND FEES: Medical School: Tuition for the 2016-17 academic year is $50,700. Tuition for students in the MS in Anesthesia program also is $50,700. Wisconsin residents receive the Wisconsin Medical Student Tuition Assistance credit, which is applied to their tuition; the amount of the credit varies by year based on Wisconsin resident enrollment. Graduate School: Tuition for full- time PhD students is $30,000. Tuition for master degree students is $1,000 per credit for the 2016-17 academic year. Student activity fee is $75 per semester for full-time students. MCW is expanding to educate more physicians each year with new medical school campuses in Green Bay and Central Wisconsin, in addition to MCW's Milwaukee campus. MCW-Green Bay opened in July 2015. MCW-Central Wisconsin opened in July 2016. MCW has more than 17,000 alumni/ae. In addition, MCW's School of Pharmacy will open in 2017 or 2018 with an anticipated initial class size of 60 students.
