T h e 2 0 1 6 S m a r t T h e r m o s t a t Satisfaction Report, released on Oct. 18, measures overall customer satisfaction with smart thermostat brands among those who purchased a smart thermo- stat system within the past 12 months. Satisfaction is examined across 10 fac- tors (listed in order of importance): ease of use; ease of install/setup; reliability; energy efficiency; price paid; effectiveness of heating/cooling; internet connectivity; usefulness of app; variety of features; and customer service. Satisfaction is calcu- lated on a 1,000-point scale. The report is based on responses from 2,509 customers and was fielded in September 2016. AHR EXPO OFFERS EDUCATION A wide array of educational opportuni- ties will be offered at the AHR Expo, to be held Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, 2017, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, show orga- nizers said. Throughout the week, show attendees will have the chance to par- ticipate in numerous free seminars and presentations, paid programming and professional certification exams. A series of topics will be covered in free seminars and presentations during the first two days of the show. These include: Numerous courses, continuing edu- cational sessions and opportunities for testing will be offered for a nominal fee, both prior to and during the 2017 AHR Expo in Las Vegas. These include: ASHRAE Learning Institute (ALI) Continuing Education Courses – Held concurrently with the ASHRAE 2017 Winter Conference, AHR Expo will incorporate several opportunities for attendees to participate in ASHRAE Learning Institute (ALI) continuing education courses.
