FOCUS PSB Made in the USA 16 • November 28, 2016 • Powersports Business www.PowersportsBusiness.com JIMS has released three new tools for Indian Motorcycles. JIMS No. 5800 Fly- wheel Puller has improved thread engage- ment over the OEM tool, so there is less chance of rotor damage on 2015-present Indian Scout models. It has a suggested retail price of $76. JIMS No. 5801 Water Pump Seal(s) Installer for the 2015-present Indian Scout is two sided, so it also installs the oil seal beneath the water pump seal. You get two tools for the price of one at $79.50 MSRP. Finally, JIMS No. 5803 Hub Protector prevents wheel damage when removing wheel bearings with JIMS or OEM wheel bearing tools. The hub protector retails for $48 and works on all Indian models and any other wheels with insufficient hub sur- face area for the wheel bearing tool to pull against. JIMS is continually designing and improving tools for American motorcycles. As always, JIMS tools are guaranteed for life and made in the USA. HEARTLAND USA LAUNCHES TWO DYNA CONVERSION KITS Heartland USA introduces two new conver- sion kits that convert the Harley-Davidson Dyna models to a stylish modern look. The 200 D allows riders to run a 200mm tire, and the 240 D allows riders to run a 240mm tire. Both use Heartland's patented billet alumi- num struts, steel fender and leather seat. These conversions fit Dyna models 2006 to present. The Heartland USA 200 D Dyna Fender Conversion includes the following: a pre- drilled unpainted (raw steel) 9-inch wide rear fender; a leather solo seat with vinyl side bands; billet aluminum struts that are slotted and pinned for Heartland's patented second seat options; and struts finished in chrome, gloss black or TuxCut. Two fender lengths are available to choose from — the Heartbreaker and the Heartlander. The bike must be low- ered to achieve the Heartland look. The Heartland USA 240 D Dyna Fender Conversion includes the following: HL-pat- ented struts to allow riders to install a 240mm rear tire on a Dyna; an 11-inch wide rear fender (unpainted raw steel); a steel swing arm system for 2006 and newer Dyna models; struts; fender; solo seat; swing arm with axle, ¼-inch primary offset kit; and 20mm belt. The fender comes in three options — the Heartbreaker, Heartlander and Heartlander with Plate Holder and CAT-Eye LED Light. Riders can add optional internal strut lights to the struts. The kit is available with a raw or gloss black swing arm. Struts finishes are chrome or gloss black. The rear portion of the frame supports must be removed. A cus- tom offset rear wheel is required, as well as a 20mm pulley. Proper offset wheels can be purchased from Heartland USA. Both Dyna conversion kits have the option of having a quick-release second seat, and the option of attaching travel side bags to the second seat, giving riders the bagger option. LA ROSA DESIGNS TURNS TO CANVAS FOR NEW COLLECTION Traditionally, motorcycle saddlebags and seats are manufactured using leather and this is true with most of La Rosa Designs' product line. A few years ago Don La Rosa decided to broaden his product line by introducing canvas into his manufacturing process, so he could offer a new line of canvas seats and bags. A great example of the results is the La Rosa Design eye-catching Army Green Can- vas with Brown Leather Star Collection. Items include Saddle Bags, Front Fork Tool Bag and a Police Style Saddle Seat with matching Passenger Pillion Pad. The whole collection is made with quality, heavyweight, military- grade canvas and is designed to fit all years of Harley-Davidson Softail models. The Army Green with Brown Leather Star Canvas Softail Saddle Bag ($124.99) by La Rosa Design is available for the left or right side of the bike. Designed to fit all Softail models, the bags are made from a 24-ounce, waterproof, military- grade canvas; they use high-quality stainless steel hardware and are reinforced with a thick leather backing and straps to ensure durability and shape retention over time. A matching Army Green Canvas Front Fork Tool Bag ($84.99) universally fits on all Harley-Davidson front forks and uses the same durable canvas, hardware and leather reinforcement as the saddle bags. As with all of La Rosa's products, the whole canvas line is 100 percent made in the USA. The items can be purchased individually or in discounted combo sets.
