AIMExpo's global impact continued to resonate as well, with a total of 44 countries represented across all attendees. Counting international visitors and dealer/buyers, 6,370 trade attendees were on hand for B2B and I2I (industry to industry) business and networking during the four days of AIMExpo, including 3,029 exhibitor attendees and 630 industry personnel members. They were joined by 252 members of the media, who documented all the new model and product introductions for millions of enthusiasts around the world. Collectively, the 18,000-plus attendees at AIMExpo 2016 contributed to more than 32 million social media impressions via Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube. This growth of more than 10 mil- lion impressions year-to-year demonstrates AIMExpo attendees are more engaged than ever during their expeience at the event, eagerly sharing their stories while interacting with other attendees and exhibitors. As the sun goes down on AIMExpo in Orlando, the stage is set for the industry's highly anticipated move to Columbus, Ohio, next September. With its close proximity to the densest population of dealerships in the country, a state-of-the-art host facility at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and a city center that welcomes and will become all things powersports, the desirable loca- tion in America's heartland is poised to boost AIMExpo attendee numbers across the board during its landmark fifth year. With an aver- age early-fall temperature of 65 degrees in the month of September, Columbus will be buzzing throughout the four-day celebration, scheduled for Sept. 21-24. PSB AIMEXPO CONTINUED FROM THE COVER A record number of dealers attended the fourth annual Powersports DEALER Seminars @ AIMExpo. Mr. Gary Manning is retiring after 42 years! We would like to thank him for his knowledge, encouraging attitude and dedicated service to Pete's Cycle, and his customers, over the last four decades. He has introduced so many people into the motorcycle world and has sold thousands of bikes (even the kind with ped- als!). We wish him well in his retirement, he certainly deserves it! We are so happy we were able to experience this ride with Mr. Gary!" Pete's Cycle is a Maryland-based dealership with three separate locations: Bel Air, Balti- more and Severna Park. NEW GIG FOR PAWELKA Rick Paweka, previously director of market- ing at KYMCO USA in Spartanburg, South Carolina, has been named marketing promo- tions manager at Big Rock Sports in Graham, North Carolina. Big Rock is a shooting, fishing and taxidermy distributor. BOSCH, REVER PARTNER ON CONNECTED BIKE PLATFORM Rever announced an integration of its motor- cycle planning, tracking and sharing app into Bosch's mySPIN Platform. Bosch's mySPIN creates a smartphone/motorcycle link, pre- senting riders with relevant information that can be controlled directly via buttons on the motorcycle. Rever provides a host of features and motorcycle-specific content to the Bosch mySPIN-connected platform aimed at enhanc- ing the overall riding experience, including: Route discovery: Riders are able to find popular motorcycling roads all over the world and filter by recommended rides nearby. Navigation: Riders can navigate using routes they have pre-planned on the Rever website. Friend finder: View the location of your riding friends on the Rever map in real time, while you ride. Tracking: Rever can be configured to automatically begin recording rides when you turn on a mySPIN-connected motorcycle. Social media integration: Dynamic maps of tracked rides can be shared directly to popu- lar social-media platforms. Challenges: Riders can receive notifica- tion of achievements during a ride associated with Rever's popular ride challenges, which incentivize riders to log miles and visit inter- esting points of interest (POIs).
