In 1974 he picked up his motorcycle endorsement, bought himself a 1975 Honda 750 F, and has been enjoying the wind in his hair ever since. Before kicking back and enjoying retirement, Ron was a truck mechanic. His career skills bled over into his per- sonal life, and he spent a lot of his free time building and repairing cars and motorcycles. Now he says he tends to buy newer to lighten the workload, and his current bike is a 2016 Street Glide Special. Though, he did recently decide to purchase an Anniversary Edition 2003 V-Rod. "I fi gured since they aren't making them anymore, I should have one," he says. When he's not riding with his son or the H.O.G. chapter of his favorite local shop, Lake Erie Harley- Davidson, Ron likes to ride alone. "I'll just ride here or there during the day. Just short trips, not really going any- where. It's nice." 4
