The Pete is powered by a 600-hp Cat C16 and an 18-speed Eaton-Fuller. Diaz hasn't done any custom work to the truck except for adding a Thermo King APU. Northern exposure Brandon Jusczak of North Pole, Alaska, dispatched out of Fairbanks for Carlile Transportation Systems, uses this 2014 Peterbilt 389 to haul freight to the Prudhoe Bay oilfields. The truck is spec'd for heavy haul- ing and is powered by a 550-hp Cummins with 2,050 lb.-ft. of torque and an 18-speed Eaton. Custom touches include graphics, a moose bumper, a drop visor and chicken lights. Stepping across borders Denver Bartel of Chilliwack, British Columbia, uses this 2016 Peterbilt 389 and 48-foot step-deck to haul equipment, mining machinery and construction materials between Canada and the United States. The truck is powered by a 560-hp Cummins ISX15 and a Fuller 18-speed. Bartel has added a drop visor, cab and sleeper skirts, front air-cleaner lights and blinker bars.
