KEY SPORTS Brewers close strong, Admirals take the ice, Bucks warming up IT'S SHOULDER SEASON for professional sports in Milwaukee as the Milwaukee Brewers wind up the 2012 baseball season, the Milwaukee Bucks warm up for the NBA season in exhibition games and the Milwaukee Admirals take the ice in American Hockey League action. The Milwaukee Brewers finish the regular home season this month with a three-game series against the San Diego Padres in 7:10 p.m. games Oct. 1, 2 and 3 at Miller Park. At the time this issue of KEY Milwaukee was printed, the Brewers were the hottest team in baseball, competing for the last spot in the National League championship series. Check www.Brewers.com for tickets to remaining games and to see if the team continues in post- season play, The Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League begin the 2012-2013 season this month at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, 1001 N. Fourth St. It's the 35th year for the Admirals, now a top affiliate of the Nashville Predators. The first home game of the new season is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Bradley Center, followed by anoth- er home game against Charlotte at 7 p.m. Oct. 31. The Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association made significant moves to strengthen the team in the off season and will show the results in two home exhibition games this month at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Coached by Scott Skiles, the Bucks face the Detroit Pistons in a 7:30 p.m. exhibition game Oct. 13 in the BMO Harris Bradley Center and in the annual MACC Fund exhibition against the Washington Wizards at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20.
