Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Cedarburg's downtown becomes a Currier & Ives- like setting during the holidays. A life-size Santa's Workshop graces the main street, with regular vis- its by Santa, Mrs. Claus and busy elves. "A Cedarburg Christmas –Everyone's Home for the Holidays" encompasses the many Christmas events held from mid-November until New Year's Eve, organized by Cedarburg businesses, non- profits and charitable groups. The season opens with the Holiday Window Unveiling on Nov. 9, with a Holiday Open House Nov. 16-17 and the kick-off of Festive Friday Eves at Cedar Creek Settlement Nov. 16. Secret Santa Giveaways begin in mid-November and continue through Christmas. The last weekend in November draws crowds with shows like the Blizzard of Art Show & Sale, Nov. 28-Dec. 30; Cedarburg Artists Guild Holiday Art Fair, Nov. 30-Dec. 2; Senior Center Holiday Craft & Gift Sale, Nov. 29-Dec. 1 and Christmas in the Country Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
