Lyna Manufacturing Battery Load Tester Clore Automotive now off ers Christie's Model CT800 800- amp Carbon Pile Battery Load Tester for heavy-use bat- tery service environments that provides continuous-duty battery testing for 6V and 12V batteries and features a variable load capacity from 0 to 800 amps. Th e CT800's testing sequence is controlled by dual carbon pile stacks designed to provide a sustained load with balanced control, the company says. Th e tester enables assessment of battery state of charge, battery capacity, starter draw and charging system output, and features temperature adjustment from 0 to 125˚F, the company says. Large displays facilitate accurate load con- trol and provide test results in simple pass/fail zones, elimi- nating the need for the operator to interpret test readings. Clore Automotive 7-Way Electrical Connector Phillips Industries has improved the performance and extended the life of its PermaPlug 7-way electrical con- nector. Phillips says it has added a sealing component to its PermaPlug to create the Weather-Tite PermaPlug. Th e new plug is said to have all the features of the original PermaPlug, only now with a thick rubberized protective seal. Th e connector has a 3-blade Nitrile wiper seal to lock out the elements and corro- sion causing chemicals.
