Event organization is underway and we will provide further information in the coming weeks via email, Turf Line News magazine and on our website at www.wcta-online.com You are cordially invited to attend this, our golden anniversary event and we are certain that dollar for dollar, our show is the most valuable turf management educational and networking experience available anywhere. And c'mon, who doesn't love Penticton! When we say 'our show', it truly belongs to all WCTA members. We'll need INVITATION tremendous member turnout to make this conference successful and to ensure continued high levels of WCTA member services we've all come to expect. Show highlights include: • Two reduced cost pre-conference seminars taking place Sunday, March 3rd from 1:00pm to 5:00pm; 1) Sportsturf: Tom Serensits, Penn State U; 2) Golf: Dale Miller, ReDox Turf • Superb, nearly entirely new speaker line-up spanning Monday and Tuesday along with several speakers back by popular demand. CEC points will be available. Full speaker information coming soon • 20,000 square feet of exhibitor trade show also spanning Monday and Tuesday displaying This is your association and everything golf and turf your show so please mark it related you can think of, on your calendars and plan and then to be there for our 50th! some. Watch for a new 26 WESTERN CANADA TURFGRASS ASSOCIATION Annual General Meeting Notice - NOTICE TO WCTA MEMBERS The Annual General Meeting of the Western Canada Turfgrass Association will be held: Tuesday, March 5, 2013 11:30am – 12:30pm Penticton Trade and Convention Centre Penticton, BC The business of the annual general meeting shall include: (a) Report of the Board of Directors of the preceding year. (b) Report on the financial statement for the fiscal year. (c) The reading and dealing with the minutes of the previous annual meeting. (d) Election of officers and directors (e) New business. consolidated schedule with much more dedicated show time and of course come check out the show specials! • Monday Evening Social and Dave Creamer Memorial Hockey Game... This event takes place at the Okanagan Events Centre and just keeps getting better courtesy the BC Golf Superintendents Association. Of course there are a lot of other things taking place like the President's Sunday evening reception, Silent Auction for Turf Research, prize draws and more but if we told you everything now, we couldn't call this a 'teaser'! Seriously though, more information on the conference including complete program and schedule, CEC point availability, social events, exhibits, Annual General Meeting details, etc will be released in upcoming member emails and the December/January Turf Line News. A registration package is included with this issue of the Turfline and sign-up begins immediately. Check the WCTA web site anytime at www.wcta-online.com for updates and further information.
