In December 2012, Dr. Lester and Dr. Clark led several Corridor Council founders in a roundtable discussion of the dynamics that led to the initial partnership
between UCF, the University of South Florida and AT&T. They gathered in UCF President John Hitts office with four others who had been part of the
enterprise since its inception: UCF Vice President of University Relations Dan Holsenbeck, who helped craft the initial legislation that called for creating
the Council; Council President Randy Berridge; FHTCCs communications consultant Roger Pynn of Curley & Pynn Public Relations; and, Dr. Peter Panousis,
who was head of the AT&T Semiconductor operations in Central Florida, and later in retirement became the first director of UCFs Institute for Economic
Competitiveness and eventually dean of UCFs College of Sciences.
