Rack & Riddle Expands DIAM Names François Margot Manager Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services in Hopland, Calif., announced its expansion with the lease of a 67,000-square-foot facility in Healdsburg, Calif. The new space will be used primarily for sparking wine production. The expansion from Mendocino County into Sonoma County will provide clients with additional custom winemaking services and geographic branding opportunities. French wine closure company DIAM Bouchage named François Margot as export manager for North America. Margot, who also serves as DIAM's export manager for China and Japan, lives in California. Before joining DIAM in 2004, Margot spent 12 years as a production and export manager in the French wine industry. Jeff Gutsch Becomes Moss Adams Partner Sonoma Wine Co. Earns ISO Certification Sonoma Wine Company's Graton, Calif., facility has attained ISO 9001 certification, an internationally consistent standard. A company that meets ISO 9001 standards must demonstrate management excellence, well-documented operating procedures and continual improvement of products and processes. Glazers Expands into Canada Dallas, Texas-based beverage distributor Glazer's Inc. has opened a Canadian agency/broker business. Glazer's of Canada LLC is a spirits, wine and beer agency/broker providing market and brand-building solutions for its vendors and customers. Joel Toguri, formerly of Beam Global and Molson, will lead Glazer's Canadian operations. Granbury Solutions Acquires WineWare Granbury Solutions of Grapevine, Texas, has acquired WineWare Software, a provider of pointofsale and wine-club solutions. The acquisition allows Granbury Solutions to expand beyond restaurants into wineries, breweries and distilleries with WineWare's fully integrated club management system, offering restaurant and retail POS features. The WineWare team will remain in Paso Robles, Calif. PEOPLE Accounting and business consulting firm Moss Adams LLP has named Jeff Gutsch partner in charge of its Santa Rosa and Napa offices, which together total more than 80 professionals serving clients in the agribusiness, food, wine, construction, real estate, manufacturing and technology industries. Gutsch, who joined Moss Adams in 1996, is also the firm's national practice leader for wineries and vineyards. Kayla Walters Joins ACI Cork Wine closure supplier ACI Cork USA of Fairfield, Calif., has welcomed Kayla Walters to its customer service staff. She brings a background of customer service in retail and military organizations to her new position. Prior to joining ACI, Walters held positions in local law enforcement agencies, the U.S. Air Force, and with a large retail organization. Davis Wright Tremaine Hires Jeff Giametta Jeff Giametta, most recently an in-house attorney with E. & J. Gallo Winery, has joined the Portland, Ore. office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP (DWT). At Gallo, Giametta managed a team of regulatory professionals who handled marketing and promotions compliance activities. At DWT, he will lead a similar team that serves the firm's restaurant, hotel, and alcohol beverage supplier clients in licensing, permitting and compliance. Bob Guinn Joins Wilson Daniels Wilson Daniels, a St. Helena, Calif.-based sales and marketing organization for the wine industry, named Bob Guinn senior vice president of sales and marketing. Guinn, who has more than 25 years of beverage-industry experience, is a former senior vice president of TGIC/Titan Wine & Spirits. Mekuria is a widely published and recognized expert in grapevine virus research. Prior to joining the Sacramento, Calif.based Agri-Analysis, Mekuria was a research associate at Washington State University.
