New, fuel-efficient Stihl brushcutters Powered by a low-emission engine, the Stihl FS 360 C-E and FS 460 C-EM brushcutters are approximately 20 percent more fuel efficient than previous models. Ideal for cutting wild growth, woody scrub and bushes, professionals can take on heavy clearing jobs with these reliable and dependable products. The FS 460 C-EM is the first Stihl brushcutter available in the United States with the Stihl M-Tronic system, which is designed to intelligently manage the engine to deliver optimum power at all times. The Stihl M-Tronic engine automatically adjusts to changes in elevation, temperature and air filter cleanliness, eliminating the need for manual carburetor adjustments. It also com- pensates for fuel quality and varying octane levels, and its memory function automatically restores previous settings when subsequent conditions have not changed. Both the Stihl FS 360 C-E and FS 460 C-EM fea- ture a 25.4-ounce translucent fuel tank, which results in longer run times and less refueling, as well as the Easy2Start system, which makes starting fast and easy. The rugged professional design and 4-point anti-vi- bration system allow for optimal control and help to reduce user fatigue. Stihl Inc. ARI unveils next generation WebsiteSmart ARI — a provider of technology-enabled services that help dealers, distributors and manufacturers in selected vertical markets increase revenue and reduce costs — recently launched its new website solution with integrated eCommerce — WebsiteSmart. “WebsiteSmart is designed to help dealers sell more new and used inventory, parts, accessories and service,” explains Brad Smith, product manager at ARI. “Driven by customers’ day-to-day feedback, as well as a customer satisfaction survey that we conducted in 2010, WebsiteSmart makes it easy for prospects and customers to look up and purchase parts, garments and accessories, using ARI’s library of more than 90 automatically updated OEM and aftermarket catalogs — all without leaving the dealership’s website.” New, sales-driving features include a broader selection of catalogs within the parts and accessories con- tent; a parts viewer with built-in search engine optimization so products can be found on Google, Yahoo or Bing; and a tool, which displays new, used and rental inventory across multiple locations and gathers leads from potential customers to help dealers sell more units with just a few clicks. ARI Charter Software adds Rental Component to ASPEN A flexible new rental management solution is now available to equipment dealers as part of ASPEN, Charter Software’s integrated business management solution for equipment dealers. ASPEN is continually evolving with new functionality to meet dealers’ changing needs. In addition to the existing functionality of this business management system, the flexibility offered by the ASPEN Rental Component gives dealers a competitive edge and eliminates the need for a separate rental system. The ASPEN Rental Component allows equipment dealers to diversify their business into other areas to accommodate their clientele and increase business. “More and more equipment dealers are finding that renting out equipment is a great way to boost revenue, stay competitive, and accommodate their cus- tomers’ needs when their equipment is down,” said Charter Software President Anne Salemo. Using the Rental Component, dealers can serve their large-scale customers with the ability to rent units with multiple durations, manage complicated use tax issues, and bill recurring rentals for repeat business. Flexible billing options and customizable rate matrices are a few standouts of the component not available in other rental systems. Charter Software Inc.
