11 AGGREGATES MANAGER February 2015 ROLLOUTS Steady belt-cleaning pressure The Martin SQC2S Cleaner, from Martin Engineering, features indi- vidually cushioned tungsten carbide blades for effective belt clean- ing without risk to the belt or splices. The company says the design forms a single sealing edge that maintains steady, adjustable pres- sure. Patented rubber buffers hold the cleaning pressure throughout the blade's life while deflecting sufficiently to allow splices to pass without harm and ensuring compatibility with reversing belts or those that experience backup at shutdown. Designed for a maximum belt speed of 1,000 feet per minute, the cleaner is suited for belt widths ranging from 18 to 96 inches. Other key features include an extra heavy-duty I-beam frame, rigid diagonal truss construction, and a galvanized steel structure including walkways, stairs, and guard rails. It can easily be transported in shipping containers. Terex MPS | www.terexmps.com Progressive Casualty Ins. Co. & affi liates. Discounts not available in all states.
