The fencing and gates surround the triangular shaped visitor waiting area at the memorial, which was dedi- cated on September 11, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. It opened to the public on September 12. Security Fence Systems installed the Stalwart II anti-ram barrier fencing and gates from Ameristar Fence Prod- ucts to protect the visitor entrance to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the corner of Albany St. and Greenwich St. in Lower Manhat- tan in New York City. The Memorial is owned by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and operated by the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation. The high security fencing was deemed necessary to protect visitors waiting to enter the memorial due to the high pro- file nature of the site. The project included approxi- mately 230 lineal feet of Ameristar's Stalwart II anti-ram fencing which High secur i ty f new Sept inspir es poignant r encing pr ember 1 1 flection Memor i oject at e al contin ued on pa g e 58 Abo their names on a solid br names of the nearl ter comple v e , whic Ameristar Fence Pr h pr of the tw 1993 attac o enormous waterfalls and reflecting pools on whic otects the visitor entrance to the Memorial. oducts and Security Fence Systems are pr . onz struction, is One x. ks on the y W r rld o rld T W o 3,000 victims of the September 11, ade Center to e plaque attac T r h ed to the Stal s ade Center , the lead b (Photos cour weru tesy Ameristar Fence Pr In the bac At right, 2001 and the Februar ound, war t o regr ound, ilding of the ne k wgr W o rld in fh are inscribed the II anti-ram f oud to ha is one 26, e ve nce under con- y T r oducts) ade Cen-
