12S and 12R Fusion Splicers and
Fiber Installation and Restoration Kit
Fujikura 12S and 12R fusion splicers are the small, light and portable,
offering unmatched versatility for splicing in the most challenging environ-
ments in an incredibly small package. They feature an innovative transit case
that converts to an easy-to-use workstation, efficiently utilizing available work
space. Splicers have a large 4.5" monitor that provides crystal clear images, a
long life battery that powers up to 100 splice cycles including shrink sleeve appli-
cation, and a rugged chassis that gives protection from shock, dust and moisture.
The two camera observation system with fixed v-groove alignment provides
accurate alignment and loss estimation calculations. Units splice singlemode, mul-
timode, DSF and NZDS fibers and are compatible with FuseConnect connectors.
The 12S single fiber version has electrodes that last up to 3000 splices, 125
µm cladding diameter, 160 µm to 3 mm coating diameter and 5 mm to 13 mm
cleave length. The 12R model splices single to 4-fiber ribbon, has electrodes that
last up to 1500 splices, 125 µm cladding diameter, 250 µm and 900 µm coating
diameter, and 10 mm cleave length.
The FTK1-03-0901PR installation and restoration kit is the total package. It in-
cludes the 12S splicer, CT-30 cleaver, a 1310/1490/1550 nm FlexTester OFL280
OTDR, FOCIS PRO fiber connector inspection system with scope, hand-held
tablet and IEC pass/fail analysis software plus a field portable fiber cleaning kit.

70S and 70R Fusion Splicers and
Oil and Gas Combination Kit
The fast and robust Fujikura 70S and 70R fusion splicers incorpo-
rate ruggedness, automation and enhanced user controls. These units
have all the features of the 19 series splicers including automated wind
protector, auto open sheath clamps and clamshell design tube heater,
as well as the mirror-less optical system and innovative transit case.
They splice single mode, multimode, DSF and NZDS fibers and are fully
compatible with the FuseConnect line of fusion connectors.
The 70S single fiber version is a robust core alignment splicer with an
automated tube heater that works in 14 seconds, for a total splice process
time of approximately 21 seconds. The Li-ion battery capacity is now 200
splices with shrinks. It has 80 µm to 150 µm cladding diameter, 100 µm to 1000
µm coating diameter and 5 mm to 16 mm cleave length.
The 70R precision fixed v-groove model splices single, 2-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 8-, 10-
and 12-fiber ribbon. It has a 5 to 40 second tube heater depending on the splice
sleeve type, and a Li-ion battery capacity of 110 splices and shrinks per charge.
It has 125 µm cladding diameter, 250 µm and 900 µm single coating diameter,
0.25 mm to 0.4 mm ribbon coating diameter and 10 mm cleave length.
The FTK1-02-0900PR complete oil and gas installation and maintenance
kit includes everthing needed to splice and test fiber cable. It combines the 70S
splicer core alignment splicer with the M310 Quad OTDR and accessories.

21S Fusion Splicer and Kits
The Fujikura 21S active cladding alignment fusion splicer is a compact and
rugged full-featured unit. It features a dual camera observation system that
provides accurate fiber alignment and loss estimation calculations. This splicer
bridges the gap between core alignment and fixed v-groove fusion splicer technol-
ogy. Its moveable v-grooves eliminate errors due to dust and other contaminants.
The 21S fusion splicer features removable sheath clamps, allowing the use of
fiber holders. It has a large 4.7" monitor that provides a clear image for evaluating
splice quality, even in bright sunlight. It comes with an innovative transit case that
gives multiple options for the best use of available work space. Other features in-
clude a long battery life that powers up to 200 splice cycles, electrode life of 3000
splices, on-line software updates and a fully ruggedized chassis that provides
protection from shock, dust and moisture.
The splicer comes with a sheath clamp, adapter, battery pack, power cord,
two spare electrodes, manual, guide, alcohol container, screwdriver and transit
case. Kit 1 adds a CT-30A cleaver and Kit 2 adds a CT-06A to the contents.
