Fiber Optic Stripping Kit
These Micro-Strip
®
tools feature lower stripping force for less stress on the
fiber and higher quality splices. They require less than a pound of peak force
to strip coated fiber. Components are color coded so there's no chance for
error and every stripping component is manufactured to tolerances tighter than
0.0005". These non-thermal stripping tools comprise the most used components
for fiber optic stripping.
This stripping kit contains three pre-assembled, three-step tools with standard
handles, cutter blade sets and fiber guides to strip most fiber sizes. Use them to
strip outer jackets up to 3.5 mm, 900-µm buffers and 250-µm coatings. The kit
also includes Kevlar scissors cleaning brush, push tool and instructions in a case.

self-centering precision fiber optic stripper requires lower
stripping force for less fiber stress and higher quality splices. A fiber guide ensures
precise positioning. Designed for single mode 125-µm fiber cladding with hard,
tough or thick coating/buffer up to 250 µm, this tool assures concentric scoring
and precision-stripped, nick-free fiber. Strip length guide is calibrated in
1
⁄16" incre-
ments and the stripper comes with a cutter blade set.
Kit features two handle assemblies with fiber components for stripping up to
900-µm buffer coating and jackets up to 3.5 mm, eight blades (.0063-0.54 mm),
10 tube guide sizes (.0075-3.1 mm), cleaning brush, push tool and instructions.

FO103-S Fiber Optic Stripper Series
Use FO103-S fiber optic strippers to strip 250 micron buffer coating from 125
micron optical fiber. The precision diameter hole and V-opening in the blade allow
for accurate buffer coating removal. Tools feature a pivot pin, precision spring
handles and cutting surfaces that are precision formed, hardened, tempered and
ground. Tools come factory set which prevents scratching or nicking of the fiber.
Each tool is imprinted with the stripping blade diameter in microns. The mini-
mum diameter for each FO103-S series tool is suggested by the part number.
They are 150 µm, 175 µm, 200 µm, 250 µm and 300 µm respectively.
