®
Connectors
FUSEConnect fusion-spliced, field terminated connectors are field installable splice-on connectors.
They are uniquely designed with just four components and have factory pre-polished ferrules, so they can
be terminated in the field using a fusion splicer. This innovative process eliminates polishing, adhesives
and crimping which minimizes operator error and expensive connector scrap. In addition, the process
yields true APC performance of >65 dB return loss in an SC/APC configuration, addressing return loss
concerns present in analog optical networks. SC singlemode is compliant to GR-326-CORE.
Designed to work with an industry standard 10 mm cleave length and splicers utilizing a fiber holder
system, AFL FUSEConnect connectors are compatible with Fujikura fusion splicers and most other fiber
holder-based fusion splicing platforms. Use them for RF-overlay FTTP, CATV backbone and outside plant
connectorization, central office connector replacement, data center installation and MDU termination.

Accessory Kit
The FUSE-AC-KT FUSEConnect
accessory kit includes two clamps for
holding simplex cordage – 3 mm and
2 mm, a 250 µm/900 µm fiber clamp,
three FUSEConnect fiber holders – 3
mm, 2 mm and 900 µm, and two
sheath clamps. Items are organized in a
compartmentalized utility storage box.
