NEW PRODUCTS PRODUCTS 28 OCTOBER 2015 OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT www.outdoorpowerequipment.com P R O D U C T N E W S The new Ferris Soft Ride Stand-on (SRS) Z2 boasts a patent-pending adjustable operator platform, featuring suspension technology, optimizing operator comfort, and increasing productivity. The mower's superb balance provides stability and maneuverability that exceeds expectations for traction and handling, whether on slopes or on flat terrain. The SRS is designed to allow for quick operator exit and re-entry. If the operator needs to walk away from the mower to move an obstacle or pick up debris, the PTO will automatically disengage when the operator leaves the platform. Restarting the blades is just as easy. When the operator steps back onto the platform and re-engages the PTO switch, he or she can continue mowing. Benefits of this compact mower include full turnaround on open and enclosed trailers for easy loading and unloading; minimal space required for transport and storage; and excellent maneuverability on tight properties. Other features include: Vanguard 810 EFI or Kawasaki FX801V engine Dual commercial Hydro-Gear ZT-3400 transaxles with 7-inch cooling fans Easy-locking 3-position speed control setting iCD cutting system with striping kit 52- or 61-inch, fabricated-steel mowing deck Hand-operated height-of-cut adjusts in 1/4-inch increments from 1.75 to 5 inches Ergonomic control panel with integrated forward and reverse lever with stabilizer bar Large 23-inch drive tires and 13-inch flat-free caster tires Ground speed up to 10 mph Ferris Soft Ride Stand-on (SRS) Z2 Unrivaled cutting, comfort and utility Briggs & Stratton Professional Series engine with ReadyStart starting system Hydro-Gear transaxles Fabricated or deep-profile steel mowing deck with fixed rollers Integrated rear cargo bed with 50-pound capacity Suspension Comfort System with front or front & rear springs Suspension Comfort System means operator feels 25-percent less impact versus a non-suspension mower Ergonomic mesh seat 13 height-of-cut positions Foot-assisted deck lift Optional twin bag catcher and headlights 3-year limited warranty for residential use Simplicity Courier residential zero-turn mower At GIE+EXPO 2015, Wright will introduce a 72-inch model to its growing line of Stander ZK mowers. This zero-turn mower will be available with a choice of 3 Aero-Core deck sizes: 52, 61 or 72 inches. The 72-inch Stander ZK's wider cut, push- button deck lift, powerful engine options, mowing speed of 12.5 mph, and fully independent left/ right hydro systems all contribute to the mower's improved productivity. Users won't have to operate the new Stander ZK for long before they experience its excellent balance and stability, especially on hills. Reinforced wheelie wheels and elastomer bumpers for progressive ride control help the mower hug the ground on all types of terrain. The mower's short overall length makes it more maneuverable than any mid-mount Z. Fleet managers will also like the 72-inch Stander ZK. The only critical in-season maintenance points are engine oil and blades, and there are no grease fittings. The 17.5-gallon fuel tank eliminates the need to carry extra gas, and the mower's light weight and compact footprint make trailering multiple units easier. The rugged Aero-Core deck has air-tapered surfaces that eliminate clumping, and its airflow stands grass up for a uniform cut. The deck is equipped with anti-scalp rollers for smooth, even results, even on varying terrain. Recessed caster wheels reduce the turning radius, and the compact footprint improves maneuverability and reduces the space required on the trailer. For added comfort, the Stander ZK comes with a roomier foot platform. The platform is easy to step off of to exit or pick up debris, and a 5-gallon debris container is even provided. At GIE+EXPO, the 72-inch Stander ZK will be on display at the New Product Showcase. Wright mowers can be seen indoors at booth 3094 and test driven outdoors at booth 7624-D.
