MAXIMA EXPANDS VISCOSITY OFFERING IN UTV-SPECIFIC LINE San Diego-based Maxima Racing Oils has introduced a new viscosity to its already com- prehensive line of side-by-side-specific lubri- cants. Maxima now offers SXS SYN 10W-50, a 100 percent synthetic engine oil, to the side- by-side family of products. The 10W-50 will accompany the existing 0W-40 and 5W-50 viscosities to fulfill the requirements of the most modern side-by-side vehicles from Polaris, Can-Am, Yamaha, etc. Maxima SXS Engine 100% Synthetic Oil is ester fortified, a 100 percent synthetic 4-stroke engine oil. TRAKMOTIVE NAMES NEW SALES MANAGER Trakmotive announced the recent hiring of Jeff Gagliano as the new powersports sales manager for Advanced Innovative Technol- ogy (AIT) and the TrakMotive brand of CV axles for the ATV and UTV off-road market. Gagliano has more than 12 years of expe- rience in the powersports industry, rang- ing from the past president of Green Light Global and sales and marketing manager with Lockhart Phillips USA to national sales manager for Supersprox USA. CAN-AM RACER MILLER GETS HISTORIC WINS Can-Am X-Team racer Cody Miller made history at the inaugural Camp Coker Bul- let Grand National Cross Country race in Society Hill, S.C., becoming the first racer to win a 4x4 Pro ATV class and the XC1 Pro UTV class on the same day. Miller was also joined by Can-Am X-Team teammates on the UTV overall and class podiums, giving Can-Am a sweep. "Cody Miller was outstanding in South Carolina, winning both premier GNCC Pro classes he entered and making the morning and UTV overall podiums," said Jeff Leclerc, racing project leader, Can-Am. "Miller has matured as a racer, and it's nice to see him continue to make huge strides toward win- ning both championships this year in his first full season of GNCC racing. Kevin Cun- ningham, Tim Farr and Steve Matko each made their respective class podiums as well in South Carolina, so it was a good weekend for Can-Am." "What a weekend! All year, I've been dreaming of bringing home a first place in both the 4x4 Pro and the XC1 Pro SxS classes," said Miller. "I was finally able to make that dream a reality at the Camp Cocker Bullet GNCC, marking my name down in the history books as the first one to put down a double win in these two Pro classes. With its large motocross section and lots of fast fields, this new property show- cased the speed, power and handling of both my Can-Am Outlander XT-P and Maverick X ds 1000R vehicles. I'm on a mission to bring home two championships in 2017, but still have work to do." DRAGONFIRE OFFERS HEAVY DUTY AXLES FOR DURABILITY The team at DragonFire has developed a range of replacement axles for those times when you find you have gone over the limit. Designed for superior strength, they drop right into place with no modification needed. "How do you know what the limits are until you exceed them?" asked DragonFire sales and marketing manager Megan Dible. "We all like to test our mettle, but it stops being fun when the metal starts failing! Whether it is leading a race or being miles from base camp, nothing is quite as frustrat- ing as a broken axle." With this in mind DragonFire offers a full line of Heavy Duty axle shafts that exceed OEM spec. Constructed of high strength chromoly steel, DragonFire's H.D. axles feature a 15-20 percent larger shaft and heat treated CV components for added durability. "We have all heard the old saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," Dible added. "But we believe one of the best modifications you can make to your UTV is to upgrade to H.D. Axles." In fact, DragonFire is confident enough in the strength and durability of its H.D. Axle Shafts, that the firm offers a full 1-year warranty.
