DRINK CULTURE Sideways, the iconic movie, has been turned into a play which opened in Southern Califorinia last month. Here are a few scenes from it. Pinot at the Play The novelist Rex Pickett, whose book was adapted into the movie Sideways has created "Sideways the Play," another celebration of the Santa Ynez wine country lifestyle. The play opened May 18th in Santa Monica and features pinot noir tastings at each performance. The offerings include wines from Sonoma Coast Vineyard, Sharp Cellars, Silver Mountain and a number of other California wineries. The play and the tastings, are slated to run through July 22nd . All about Water cream sandwiches from Coolhaus, which feature edible, calorie-free, wrappers. In addition, Omni is donating fi ve cents from each bottle of Keeper Springs natural spring water sold to the Water Keeper Alliance, a non-profi t organization committed to improving water quality and environmental stewardship. Th e new menu launched on Memorial Day and will be in place through Labor Day. 10 | JUNE 2012 a new "Art of Water" menu. Th e chain is partnering with professional photographer Larry Emerson, using his photographs of water as backdrops for the menu page design. Th e menu will feature original cocktails in four regional variations, created by noted mixologist Kim Haasarud. Th e menu will also feature organic ice Omni Hotels & Resorts is implementing
