ST. GENEVIEVE COURT 1003 JOIN HANDS DAY MAY 5, 2012 JOIN HANDS DAY (JHD) develops relationships between young people and adults through neighborhood volunteering. Building relationships across generations brings confi dence, trust, and respect for each other and creates a sense of community. JHD is a program of the American Fraternal Alliance. St. Mary Magdalene Court 117, Mantador, ND joined hands with the Altar Society of Sts. Peter and Paul. Court 117 helped with their annual church dinner by purchasing dessert and serving the guests. "We bought two decorated cakes and got ice cream and chocolate syrups," wrote JoAnn Jentz, "We offered the attendees raspberry swirl or chocolate cake and ice cream or a chocolate sundae." YUM! St. Mary Court 657, Fort Atkinson, IA joined with the American Legion Post 672, American Auxiliary Unit 672 and St. John's Parishioners to clean the chapel, monuments, and to water the fl owers. St. Catherine Court 693, Redwood Falls, MN joined with St. Catherine's CCW. They collected soup labels, pop tabs, box tops, milk tops for education and school supplies. (no picture available) Our Lady of Perpetual Help Court 883, Breda, IA assisted Kuemper Catholic High School in fi lling meal bags for shipment to Kids Against Hunger. Their goal was to package 25,000 meals! "They like to see each person work for two hours. our organization pays for one of the bags ($30) and members donate the others. St. Genevieve Court 1003, Wahpeton, ND entertained residents of Leach Home with bingo and a birthday lunch of strawberry shortcake.
