NEW PRODUCTS Rotary offers full line of mower parts A complete line of extreme performance mower blades is among nearly 200 new items in Rotary Corporation's 2013 catalog. Rotary offers more than 8,500 guaranteed-quality replacement parts, tools and accessories, including mower and edger blades, commercial-strength mulching blades, belts, heavy-duty air filters, oil filters, pre filters, tires, wheels and tubes. Other featured items are carburetors, electric starters, throttle controls, idler pulleys, spark plugs and piston assemblies, as well as throttle, brake and clutch cables. Rotary Corp. Kohler introduces 999-cc CARB-compliant engine Kohler Engines announced Aug. 10 that it has launched a 999-cc California Air Resources Board-compliant engine, which incorporates a Secondary Air Injection (SAI) system to meet the latest emissions standards in all 50 U.S. states. Kohler's unique SAI system injects air into the engine's exhaust manifold to significantly minimize pollutants and enhance overall engine performance. The powerful and easy-to-maintain engine is ideal for use in a wide range of commercial applications, including agricultural tractors, lawn tractors, pumps, rollers, generators and other power equipment. "We're excited to bring a new option of higher-powered engine to market that meets the most stringent air-quality standards while also delivering unequaled Kohler performance in the field," said Justin Blount, director of marketing for Kohler Engines. "Of course, we also placed a premium on fuel efficiency and durability when designing these engines, so end users can rest assured knowing they've made an incredibly solid investment that's easy on their wallet and the environment." Kohler Engines DR Power Equipment introduces BurnCage home and garden incinerator DR Power Equipment announced Aug. 14 the introduction of the BurnCage, a new home and garden incinerator that eliminates all the shortcomings of burning in a traditional burn barrel. For years, homeowners have relied on backyard burning in steel barrels to eliminate items such as sensitive financial documents and yard debris. Although 55-gallon steel barrels may seem like safe receptacles to contain a fire, they were designed for chemical and hazardous waste storage. "Burn barrels are a nuisance to property owners," said Carl Eickenberg, DR Power Equipment product manager. "These barrels rust, are unpleasant to look at, and don't provide a safe enclosure to contain flying embers. The new BurnCage is easy to use, much safer than a burn barrel, and has perforations for more thorough burning with easier cleanup. And it doesn't rust and become an eyesore like an oil drum."
