Scheib as vice-president of sales. Scheib recently retired at the rank of master gunnery sergeant after a 25- year career in the U.S. Marine Corps. Originally from Pennsylvania, he studied business administration at Penn State University before enlisting in the Marines in 1988. "I joined the Sentinel team first and foremost because I trust the lead- ership and because Sentinel is com- mitted to providing its customers with a superior American-made product," said Scheib. Scheib, a 25-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, has been named vice-president of sales for Sentinel Fence & Rail. Sentinel's philosophy and mission statements," he said. Though his initial enlistment was as an aviation operations specialist as- signed to a Marine attack squadron based out of Cherry Point, N.C., Scheib participated in numerous de- ployments throughout the U.S and abroad. One of these missions in- cluded a deployment in support of Op- eration Desert Shield and Desert Storm during the Gulf War. He was then transferred to Marine recruiting duty and served at various locations throughout the Northeast United States. Later, he was recognized as a mas- ter trainer and achieved the rank of master gunnery sergeant in just 19 years. Prior to retiring, Scheib was cho- sen to be the training team chief for the 1st Marine Corps District, covering a territory that encompassed 11 states, where he was responsible for leading and training 454 Marines.
