He shows his pride with this cool custom license plate on his personal vehicle – FENC UIN. He wonders – and we do, too – how many other prestige license plates are out there that have a fence theme. And we are starting to find out, as the collection of prestige plates on this page shows. They were sent in by WFN read- ers who saw Bruce's plate in the June issue. If you own one, we urge you to take a photo and e-mail it to World Fence News so that we can begin a col- lection. Please tell us why you chose the particular wording on your plate, and include any other interesting details surrounding your choice. We will publish all the photos in World Fence News as we receive them, as well as a wrap up at the end of the year. You can e-mail high resolution im- ages to editor@worldfencenews.com. Daniel Caporellie, owner Mr Fence, Freehold, N.J. 1. The eight fittngs quotations you receive on bid day will be based on eight different quantities. None will be correct. 2. You will add .5% to your P&O line-item right before you send off your proposal. You will lose the bid by .48%. Ten minutes after the bid dead- line you'll receive a quote on the emer- gency exit doors that would've put you $100 under the lowest guy. 3. The fax machine will stop working. Your receptionist will start crying. You'll give her a raise and a gift card to Ruth's Chris to get her to stop. 4. The project you're bidding right now will be 40% over the architect's original budget – the same budget through which the architect convinced the owner to award him the job in the first place. All bids will be thrown out. 5. Throughout the day, your im- mediate superior – without warning – will repeatedly and hysterically burst into your office with little other pur- pose than to let you know he's sure you're going to miss something. Note: Some of the more progres- sive states are moving to curb this of- fense. For example, in Kansas, you are allowed by law to whack the perpetra- tor on the side of the head with a rolled- up set of blueprints (provided it's heavy enough to do the job – $5 million +) once the perpetrator has interrupted you for the fifth time in one bid day. Be sure to check your local laws. 6. At some point during the day, My name is Dan Caporellie and I am the owner of Mr Fence in Freehold, N.J. My license plate reflects my business name and we are a family-owned fence company, therefore my wife is Msfence! you'll carry on a conversation with someone who will describe themselves as a "Type A" personality. Twenty seconds into the talk there will be no doubt in your mind what the "A" stands for.
