By James Jaillet always envisioned, expanding upon the previous owner's addition of a few interior upgrades and flames on the hood. The second year of Ashburn's ownership, though, began with the addition of mirror-finished stainless inside and spots of flames here and there. After striking up a friendship with show truck veteran Jeff Botelho, "we started to get a lot of the bigger stuff going," says Ashburn, a resident of Sanger, Calif. They replaced the hardwood flooring with aluminum, fter Stephen Ashburn bought this 2005 Peterbilt 379 in 2007, he ran the truck as-was, keeping the wheels of his car-hauling business churning. He wanted to transform it into the show truck he'd redid the flamed paint job, mounted new fenders and bum- pers, painted the dash and added stainless to the deckplate. And to separate his truck from the pack – 300 LED lights on the truck's exterior and about 10 bright blue lights in the interior for an added pop. 48 | Overdrive | December 2012
