FLEET NEWS U.S. Xpress offering free 90-day lease-purchase A new lease-purchase program from Chattanooga, Tenn.-based U.S. Xpress allows enrollees to drive a 2009 International ProStar risk-free for 90 days without any money down or providing credit information. Once the trial ends, drivers can terminate the agreement without any financial liability or start making payments to purchase the vehicle. U.S. Xpress says the trucks come with a 3-year/300,000-mile warranty. Honors Epes Transport Systems driver Marvin Garvey was named a Highway Angel by the Truckload Carriers Association for helping a woman stranded in the middle of Interstate 85/40 after her car stalled. Garvey moved her car, calmed the woman and stayed with her until she contacted a family member ...
