HONORS
The drivers assigned
to Schneider National's
Ride of Pride fleet are
all veterans. Chuck
Ceccacci, the driver of
this year's Ride of Pride,
has worked at Schneider
since 1997 and served
in the U.S. Marine Corps
for nine years.
Schneider National
was selected by Freightliner
to receive the 11th edition
Ride of Pride truck, which
is designed as a tribute to
members of the U.S. military.
The tractor joins Schneider's
existing fleet of five Ride
of Pride tractors, including
the only Canadian militarythemed unit. The 11th edition, a Cascadia, was added
to the fleet on Memorial Day
weekend following its traditional debut at the Rolling
Thunder motorcycle rally in
Washington, D.C.
The 2013 rig features a fully-customized patriotic decal
theme including the American
flag, bald eagle, military
camouflage, POW/MIA logo
and these words on the cab:
"Those who serve deserve
honor, respect, thanks."

Old Dominion Freight Line
announced an average 4.9 percent base-rate increase based
on variables including lanes
used and shipment distance.
The new rates include increases in intrastate, interstate and
cross-border lane charges and
will offset the rising costs of
new equipment and insurance.
