It also appears to mark the end of an era when drivers from other series were eager to climb behind the wheel of a stock car. Aside from Danica Patrick's much ballyhooed move to Cup racing, Nelson Piquet Jr.'s truck seat and motorcycle racer Travis Pastrana in the Nationwide series, it looks like most of NASCAR's new faces will come to the sport via more traditional routes. Mini cars designer: from McLaren CHANGING LANES McLaren Formula 1 designer Gordon Murray's latest project could not be further from the racing supercar that's made him famous. His company, Gordon Murray Design, is finalizing a pair of tiny vehicles, dubbed city cars, scheduled to hit British roadways in 2016. Both are small three-seaters with the driver position in the center. Sound familiar, race fans? The T.25 runs on a three-cylinder gasoline engine. The T.27 is electric. Murray is touting the pair as the heirs apparent to the now renowned Mini.
