The Shepard Fairey cocktail at the Wynwood Kitchen is made with vodka, raspberry liqueur and cranberry juice. Celebrating Artistic Cocktails What do you get when you mix street art with cocktail recipes? Th e unique happy hour off ered at Wynwood Kitchen & Bar in Miami, which invited world famous street artists to create murals at the restaurant’s art park, Wynwood Walls. Seventeen mixed drinks now on the menu were inspired by the artists’ creations, which are featured on Wynwood’s happy hour menu for $12 each. Th e creations include the Shepard Fairey, made with raspberry liquor, vodka and a splash of cranberry juice; a spicy cocktail from rebel artist David Ellis, which is a blend of 151 liquor, squid ink, hot sauce, olive brine and horseradish; and a Martini cocktail from Kenny Scharf, which features tequila reposado, triple sec and muddled blackberries, strawberries, mint and fresh lime juice. Wine Event Benefi ts National Charity The Capital Grille, a 44-location steak restaurant chain, announced the return of its annual Artist Series Wine Event to benefi t Share Our Strength, a national nonprofi t working to end childhood hunger. Capital Grille will donate $25 from the sale of each bottle of an exclusive cabernet sauvignon to Share Our Strength. The wine was crafted by Thomas Peffer, winemaker from Atalon Vineyards in Napa Valley and Capital Grille’s master sommelier George Miliotes. The bottle’s label was designed by Patricia Timbrook, whose artwork was chosen during a national competition that invited artists, label enthusiasts and wine lovers to create an original label for the exclusive wine.
