CUSTOM RIGS SUPERRIGS SHOW 54 | Overdrive | June 2014 W isconsin-based owner-operator Bill Rethwisch won Best of Show at the 2014 Shell Rotella Super- Rigs show with his 2013 Peterbilt 389 and match- ing Polar tanker. The win earned him $10,000 from Shell Rotella, $5,000 from Mac Trailer and 50,000 Shell Rotella MyMiles- Matter points. This marks Rethwisch's second SuperRigs Best of Show in as many years. His entry last year was an orange and white 2012 Peterbilt 389 and matching Polar tanker. Shell's 32nd SuperRigs competition was held May 15-17 at the zMax Drag- way in Concord, N.C. Austin Ashley from Raleigh, Miss., won Best of Show fi rst runner-up and $4,000 from Shell Rotella and $3,000 from Mac Trailer with his 2007 Peterbilt 379. Paul Rissler of California, Mo., was awarded Best of Show second runner-up, receiv- ing $2,000 from Shell Rotella and $2,000 from Mac Trailer for his 1996 Peterbilt 379. Bill Rethwisch's 2013 Peterbilt 389 and matching Polar tanker – dubbed "Blood, Sweat, and Gass" – won Best of Show at the 2014 Shell Rotella SuperRigs show, following up on his win in the 2013 show. The rig also won Best of Show in April at the 75 Chrome Shop Overdrive's Pride & Polish show. Austin Ashley's 2007 Peterbilt 379 won Best of Show first runner-up. The truck also won several high-profile awards in the 2013 season, including the Pride & Polish National Championship in the Truckers' Choice category.
