Program Advisory Committees must be comprised of appropriately qualified representa- tives external to the institution (i.e., non-school employees) who can provide a meaningful review of the school's programs and supporting resources and materials. PSI would like to recog- nize and thank these industry partners for their commitment to education by allowing their employees to visit and participate in this impor- tant part of the continued success of PSI. EAGLERIDER OPENS THIRD OUTLET IN AUSTRALIA EagleRider announced the latest addition to its international franchise expansion. A new outlet has opened for motorcycle rental and tours in Mackay, Australia, marking the third expansion on the continent since the establish- ment of outlets in Sydney and Brisbane. "The people of Australia have been great to us," said Chris McIntyre, EagleRider president and CEO. "We knew EagleRider Mackay would open up a world of possibili- ties for Queensland and beyond, and we're excited to share our passion with more peo- ple ready to make their dreams come true." From its location near the airport and the Great Barrier Reef, EagleRider Mackay will offer a huge selection of motorcycles and pro- vide one-way rentals as well as both self-drive and guided tours throughout the region. HARLEY DEALER OPENS KTM STORE IN STORAGE BUILDING When Dennis Schaeffer purchased the for- mer Heritage Ford building in Orwigsburg, Pa., he originally intended to use it for storage for his 86 personal motorcycles. However, Schaeffer, owner of Schaeffer's Harley- Davidson, also in Orwigsburg, has now turned that storage space into a KTM and pre- owned dealership, reported The Republican- Herald of Pottsville, Pa. The new Schaeffer's Motorsports also features a museum in the back of the building where Schaeffer can show off his personal collection. BOB'S BMW EMPLOYEE HONORED FOR 25-YEAR TENURE Designer and ecomm manager Lex O'brien was recently honored for his 25 years at Bob's BMW in Jessup, Md. O'brien joined the dealership in 1989, when the dealership, formerly known as Bob's Used Parts, was just 7 years old. HARLEY DEALERSHIP HOSTS 100TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY Roanoke Valley Harley-Davidson hosted a 100 Year Celebration In the Valley Rally in July 26. The event included brisket and BBQ at noon, one $50 gift card given away each hour, a 42-inch Vizio 1080p TV giveaway and Softail demos. Customers also earned double points during the event. Milton Menefee opened Roanoke Valley Harley- Davidson in 1914. The dealership was then purchased by Ed and John Waley in 1922 and by John Butterfield in 1953. Lloyd and Kathy Shiffer then purchased Roanoke H-D in 1982, moving the dealership to its current location in 1995. DEALERSHIP CELEBRATES A DECADE IN PORTLAND AREA Paradise Harley-Davidson in Tigard, Ore., southwest of Portland, celebrated its 10th anniversary in July. Taco Pedaler, Home Plate Sliders and Touchdown's BBQ had their food carts available for free lunch while supplies lasted. Customers were also treated to live music. ADP LIGHTSPEED OFFERS DMS TRAINING TO YAMAHA STAFF ADP Lightspeed announced its participa- tion in in several classroom training sessions offered by Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (YMUS) to their Parts and Accessories Field Support Managers. The trainings are offered as part of YMUS's initiative to assist and train its field reps on how to create and manage perfor- mance goals for dealers in the parts and ser- vice departments leading to more sales and greater customer satisfaction. The reps will receive training on creating reports and basic functions of the dealer management system to aid them in working with their dealers. "So many of our dealers are using the ADP Lightspeed system that it made perfect sense to include them in the training of our field staff," said Dustin Huffaker, Yamaha Regional Sup- port manager. "They have been very helpful in putting together these trainings designed spe- cifically for our reps in the field. We see great opportunity in working with a partner who shares our common goal of helping the dealer become more profitable." "We really appreciate the opportunity to work with Yamaha as they deploy programs to help their dealers manage their business," said Dave Johnson, Manufacturer Solutions and Consulting with ADP Lightspeed. "The trainings are a great example of where ADP Lightspeed can be a valuable partner to the OEM and provide training on the systems their reps will encounter in the field."
