Pre-owned Harleys show steady increase Lisa Pelissier, senior powersports analyst at Kelley Blue Book, provides PSB readers with a look at the most-viewed motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and scooters on KBB.com from January-July 2014, compared to the same period in 2013. ON-ROAD MOTORCYCLES Most of KBB.com's most researched on-road motorcycles from January to July 2014 also were part of the top 50 most researched during the same time period last year. Only two model-year 2013 motorcycles appear on the list of most-researched on-road motorcycles: the Harley-Davidson FLHX Street Glide and t h e K a w a s a k i Ninja 300. The Kawasaki Ninja 3 0 0 h a d t h e second-highest number of KBB. com web hits. The list of the top 50 on-road motorcycles is populated entirely by Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha motorcycles. Harley-Davidson not only has the largest number of bikes on the list at 19 total, but also is the only manufacturer recording an average increase in KBB.com web hits. OFF-ROAD MOTORCYLES The most researched list of off-road motor- cycles displays an older group of bikes than the list for on-road motorcycles. Only six models are newer than model-year 2009, and seven models are more than 10 years old. Interest in off-road motorcycles remains strong, with only a negligible decline in KBB. com web hits compared to last year. More than half of the most popular off-road models are in the motocross category.
