Rotary Corporation unveils redesigned website Rotary Corporation announced August 24 that it has launched a redesigned website that enables customers to shop online 24/7 for more than 8,500 outdoor power equipment parts, tools and accessories at www.ro- tarycorp.com. The simple-to- navigate site includes many new features and benefits for dealers and distributors that maintain accounts with Rotary. The company's 2012 online catalog is available with illustrations and de- scriptions. Rotary customers can per- form a Quick Item Search to locate a part by item class, key word or manu- facturer. It also provides a search by Rotary item number or the OEM/aftermar- ket item number. Another feature is Quick Order Entry that shows parts availability, pricing and the Ro- tary distribution center it ships from. The site also has Quick Links that provide cus- tomers with order tracking, account history, online payment options and much more. Customers can also view product up- dates, special dealer programs, sales sup- port, company news, videos and the latest industry updates. "Rotary has always been dedicated to providing the highest level of service, and our redesigned website now offers a fast and simple way to shop online, check ac- count information or get the latest industry news," said Ed Nelson, Ro- tary's president and CEO. "It's never been easier to do busi- ness with Rotary," he added. "You can talk with one of our helpful cus- tomer service representatives from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST Monday thru Fri- day, or you can visit us online 24/7. Either way, you can connect imme- diately and directly with the Rotary team for service right when you need it." For more information on Rotary, visit the company's website; follow it on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn; or view its latest videos on YouTube. In other Rotary news, Jerry Cox, the com- pany's vice president and national director of sales, announced the appointment of Joseph Peacher as territory sales manager for Missouri, Iowa and most of Illinois, Peacher's previous experience includes sales positions with CARQUEST, NAPA, Sears and U.S. Steel. Yanmar America and MTD/Cub Cadet modifying partnership Yanmar America, a major supplier of com- pact utility tractors, compact construction equipment and diesel engines, and MTD, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of outdoor power equipment and holding company of the Cub Cadet brand, an- nounced August 24 that the two compa- nies are modifying their business partnership. Since 2006, Yanmar and MTD have been jointly marketing Yanmar's compact utility tractors under the Cub Cadet Yanmar brand. Effective Sept. 1, Yanmar will begin distributing its compact utility tractors di- rectly to dealers. The Cub Cadet Yanmar- branded tractor models currently in the market will continue to be manufactured by Yanmar, but will display only the Yan- mar brand. Yanmar also will take over product support within the current distri- bution channel. "The compact tractor market in North America is beginning to rebound from the economic downturn, and we believe that now is the perfect time for Yanmar to take on full responsibility for sales, marketing and customer service of our compact tractors," said Katsumi Deguchi, executive vice president of Yanmar Amer- ica. "By doing this, Yanmar will be able to focus more directly and efficiently on the specific needs of our compact tractor dealers and their customers. The transi- tion to all of our customers will be seam- less. We have appreciated the great marketing, sales and service our MTD partners have provided." "MTD has enjoyed the success of our partnership with Yanmar, and we wish the Yanmar team well," said David Out- calt, vice president and general manager of specialty retail with MTD. "We are con- fident that Cub Cadet Yanmar customers will be well served under this new plan and will continue to receive the same great products and services they have become accustomed to over the last six years." All Yanmar tractors will continue to be assembled at its U.S. headquarters in Adairsville, Ga. The facility will handle all duties related to the marketing, sales, service and support of its compact tractor business. This will allow Yanmar to, among other things, provide sales and service training directly from the manu- facturer and to provide direct support for service and parts requirements. Yanmar is one of the few compact tractor companies that designs and manufactures all of its own components and parts. OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT SEPTEMBER 2011 15
