Our motto in the Army was "Nothing moves until we do." You're really keeping America running. To me, that means something. Not everybody can be a truck driver and stay out here for months and drive an 80,000-pound load. Q: Do you see a career path with Crete? A: I do. I've told my dad numer- ous times, I'll stay here 'til it runs out. Money is not my biggest motivator. Home time is. I'm very happy with my career choice. Q: What about Crete is attractive to younger drivers? A: I would have to say job security. You're a company driver, so it's not like you're going to one of these lease companies where they're trying to find you loads or broker loads or you might have a load today, but not tomorrow. I like Crete because they have a lot of large contracts; it seems like they're always getting new customers, and they keep you busy. Sitting through the orientation really sold me. They talked about their profit sharing and how even during the recession they put money in the profit-sharing account for drivers. To me, that really says a lot. bdj
