Holiday elegance of old Milwaukee at Pabst Mansion
THE CAPTAIN Frederick Pabst Mansion, 2000 W. Wisconsin Ave., presents "A Grand Avenue Christmas" through Jan. 13. More than a dozen of the mansion's rooms have been elegantly trans- formed in keeping with the mansion's Victorian heritage.
Items of special interest this year include Captain Pabst's cigar tree in the study, and don't miss the 12-foot-tall tree dripping in red ribbons and ici- cles, rising up through the grand stairs.
Dickens Dinners at the mansion this December offer a traditional English feast where Charles Dickens reads aloud from "A Christmas Carol." Dates are Dec. 7-9, 14-16 and 19, 20, 22. For infor- mation on times and reservations call Bartolotta Catering Company at 414-727-6980.
A Twilight Tour (no relation to vampires) is avail- able Dec. 21, 5:30-7 p.m. Elaborately decorated rooms, Victorian holiday history and warm refreshments are part of the evening. Tickets: Adults $12 in advance/$15 at the door; Children $6 in advance/$8 at the door.
Visitors may choose the $13 Holiday Season Pass to the Pabst Mansion, Charles Allis Art Museum, 1801 Prospect Ave., and Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, 2220 N. Terrace Ave. The pass may be used through Jan. 13. The Charles Allis and Villa Terrace Decorative Arts museums are open 1-5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. (Tickets available at all three locations.)

The Pabst Mansion's holiday hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday. Holiday admission is Adults/$10, Seniors, College Students/$9 and Children 6- 17/$6. Children under 6 admitted free.
