Holiday Activity Guide KEY GALLERIES MARKET. The shop is located at 175 S. Water St. just across the Milwaukee River from the Historic Third Ward. It's home to dozens of the leading antique dealers in the Milwaukee area, many offer- ing artwork and special items from the 18th through 20th centuries. Inside the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, 929 N. Water St., is the MORNING GLORY GALLERY. The gallery features fine crafts from more than 50 Wisconsin artists. Visit the gallery before a show (or during intermission). Regular gallery hours are noon-6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. GREAT GALLERIES throughout the Milwaukee metro area provide inspired gift ideas for the holi- days. You won't want to miss The Cow Jumping Over The Moon: Cow Art From Around The World at the DAVID BARNETT GALLERY, 1024 E. State St. at Prospect Ave. Included in the exhibit featuring Wisconsin's most enduring symbol are artworks from Old Masters to contemporary, Rembrandt to Leroy Neiman. Among featured items is "Cow and Ballerina," a painted wood sculpture by Schomer Lichtner. The whimsical 1990 work shown above features a Holstein cow and a ballet dancer – the two trademark motifs of the internationally known Wisconsin artist. At TORY FOLLIARD GALLERY, 233 N. Milwaukee St. in the Historic Third Ward, Laura Dronzek's new collection of landscape and still-life paintings is the featured exhibit through Nov. 24. Opening Nov. 30 and continuing through the end of the year will be "Wilde Remembered," prints and paintings of Wisconsin artist John Wilde (1919- 2006), who had widespread influence on his peers of the Magic Realism movement. The gallery also will be exhibiting paintings, sculpture and jewelry of other artists during the holiday season. For a gift that stirs great memories and truly shows that you care, don't miss RIVERVIEW ANTIQUE 36 On Milwaukee's west side, LANDMARKS GALLERY, 231 N. 76th St., features a wide variety of artwork, including prints of "The South of France" by singer-artist Tony Bennett. Each of the prints shown above are signed in the margin by the Italian-American singer. CEDAR CREEK POTTERY in Cedarburg's Cedar Creek Settlement is a great stop for gift giving. It features the handcrafted work of artists from Wisconsin and beyond. Also in the historic Settlement, LA DIVA offers jewelry crafted by the owner and features a variety of artwork, perfect for gifts. LEAP OF FAITHinspires with its nurturing atmosphere and artworks from around the world. The owner also is an artist. In picturesque Port Washington, visit BLUE HERON ARTISAN'S GALLERY. The gallery is located at 102 E. Pier St. in a historic 1929 fire sta- tion building, and features works by more than 25 artists. The atmosphere here is welcoming to visi- tors and supportive for artists.
