Product Round-up Chain Saws Cub Cadet's CS59L lithium-ion chain saw Cub Cadet's CS59L chain saw boasts a lithium-ion battery that lasts 3 times longer, as well as provides up to 6 times more charge/discharge cycles, than traditional nickel-cadmium battery-powered handhelds. The CS59L also features a 10-inch bar, automated oiler and soft-touch rubber grip. Safety always comes first, with a trigger lock and standard hand guard. Echo introduces CS-355T chain saw Echo Incorporated introduced the CS-355T chain saw, which the company calls its "crowning achievement" in top-handle chain saws. The compact design offers the best combination of lightweight, easy starting and powerful cutting performance at an affordable investment. Weighing in at 8.0 pounds, the CS-355T features a 35.8 cc commercial-grade 2-stroke engine that delivers 25 percent more power than the Echo CS-360T chain saw. The CS-355T also features an Echo-exclusive palm rest that provides greater control, supporting the operator's hand and preventing the hand from sliding. The palm rest is adjustable to three hand sizes. The contoured handle is angled for a natural wrist position so there's less wrist movement while cutting and better balance. The CS-355T also features a new style chain providing up to 9 percent faster cutting efficiency and better anti-vibration characteristics than prior Echo offerings. The CS-355T features a 5-year consumer, 1-year commercial and 90-day rental warranty, and a lifetime warranty on the ignition module. efco MT 4100 SP SS The efco MT 4100 SP SS is ideal for lopping, de-limbing, pruning, and cutting small to medium trees. The self-sharpening chain saw allows the user to continue working thanks to an easy-to-use sharpening system. Simply attach the sharpening unit to the end of the saw, apply pressure, and the chain is ready to cut again. With an engine that meets EPA 3 standards, it ensures low fuel consumption, low emissions, and less noise. The powerful engine — 39cc, 2.5 hp. — is easy to start and has an extremely high power-to-weight ratio. The MT 4100 SP SS is easy to maintain and operate. Husqvarna T540 XP The Husqvarna T540XP top-handle saw is powered by a 38cc X-Torq engine, which provides up to 20 percent better fuel consumption and 75 percent lower exhaust emissions. Also featured on this saw is Auto Tune carburetor system, which guarantees that the saw will always have optimal engine performance while providing very good acceleration and allowing for maximum operating speed in varying environmental and atmospheric conditions. The T540XP has an outstanding power-to-weight ratio of 0.50. The saw also features air injection technology to maximize the amount of clean air through the engine. The clutch cover on this saw features a captured bar nut to prevent downtime in the field during chain adjustments. Jonsered CS 2166 The Jonsered CS 2166 has a clean-running, fuel-efficient engine, optimized to output more torque over a wider rpm range. It is engineered to provide stronger cutting power at lower rpm when the saw is under load. The CS 2166 also has a large-diameter top handle for greater operating comfort and control. Other features include a top-mounted decompression valve, side-access chain tension adjustment, and an easyaccess snap lock air filter cover. RedMax GZ4000 With its power-to-weight ratio and performance, the RedMax GZ4000 chain saw is ideal for commercial users. The GZ4000 is an excellent allaround saw, ideal for cross cutting, as well as limbing and light-duty work. The 40.1-cc Strato-Charged engine produces ultra-low emissions without compromising power. An easy-access air filter reduces downtime in the field. Additional features include inertia-activated chain brake, chain catcher, throttle interlock, right hand guard and easily accessible stop switch. Stihl MSA 160 C-BQ lithium-ion battery-powered chain saw Stihl's MSA 160 C-BQ chain saw combines 36-volt lithium-ion battery technology with power and efficiency. It produces zero exhaust emissions and is ideal for noise- and emission-sensitive areas. The Stihl MSA 160 C-BQ is not only portable and lightweight, but it also starts easily with the pull of a trigger. And with reduced vibration as compared to the gasoline-powered Stihl equivalent, this chain saw improves operator comfort. Stihl lithium-ion technology reduces operating costs by eliminating the cost of fuel, and the commercial-grade high-torque electric motor requires less maintenance, resulting in a longer motor life. The batteries are designed for long running times with quick recharges, operate at full speed until depleted, and are interchangeable so 1 battery can power many tools in the Stihl Battery KombiSystem line. Tanaka TCS40EA18 Tanaka's TCS40EA18 chain saw features excellent power and versatility. Powered by Tanaka's PureFire 40cc low-emission 2-stroke engine, this commercial-grade saw contains a chrome-plated cylinder, forged-steel connecting rod, purge primer bulb and throttle latch/choke for easy and reliable starts. The saw boasts a heavy-duty, gear-driven oiler and 2 bar-mounting studs to keep the 18-inch Oregon chain at peak cutting efficiency. Also, its lighter weight (9.9 pounds — power unit only), combined with a vibration dampening system, makes this saw comfortable to operate, causing less fatigue to the user. The TCS40EA18 has a complete safety package, which includes an inertia-activated chain brake/hand guard, side-access chain tensioner, and standard bucking spike. www.landscapeirrigation.com Landscape and Irrigation 19
