Thank you Larry Nelson of Our Lady of Help Court 865, Cedar Lake, IN – for submitting the cover photo of our 2012 fall magazine: the stunning Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis King of France in New Orleans. national President's Message dear Members of the National catholic Society of foresters, a SPriNG MESSaGE Our Lenten Journey has brought us into the Easter Light with the resurrection of Jesus. We have six weeks of the Easter Season to proclaim; "alleluia, alleluia, Jesus is Risen". The definition of alleluia is: "Praise the Lord". There are 150 psalms. Many of them joyfully sing out the praise of God. Psalm 33, and 66 praise God for His power and powerful acts. Psalm 95 calls us to praise and worship God. Psalm 47 and 96-99 acknowledge that God is King of all the nations and he has done marvelous deeds. Psalms 145 through 147 invites us to praise the "works of God" as the creator. Psalms 148-150 tell us that God has summoned you and me to sing His praise. Take time this Easter season to read some of these psalms and praise the Lord. 2012 aNNual rEPort Our financial statement is shown on the following pages. As you review them, you will discover that we are financially sound. Our surplus position (the money the Society would have left after paying all our liabilities) is at $13 million, which means your money is very well protected. Psalm #118 says: Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love is everlasting. Keep the Lord in your hearts this Easter season. Yours in Love, Benevolence and Charity, NATIONAL PRESIDENT MARGARET BABINAT Spring 2013 — www.ncsf.com 21
