Diversions Music By Randy Grider Ex-driver releases album T ruck-driver-turned-country-singer Bobby Dean has released his third album, Doublewide, on the heels of his 2012 album, Country Country. Both were issued by Lamon Records (lamonrecords.com). The new album – which features nine songs, including four from Country Country – is a mix of old and new country songs. Dean covers some past country tunes, like the 1993 hit "Tonight I Climbed the Wall" by Alan Jackson. He takes on an Elvis Presley classic, turning the 1969 single "Don't Cry Daddy" into a more country sound with "Don't Cry Momma." Dean's "Me and George Strait," from Country Country, topped the New Songs tell story in short video Music Weekly Chart and entered the Top 80 on Music Row's chart last year. Other hits include "You Can't Drink 'Em All" and "White Lightning or Pink Champagne." On Country Country, Dean adds his own vocal touch to George Jones' 1974 classic "The Grand Tour" as well as the Buck Owens (via Terry Fell) classic "Truck Driving Man," on which he is joined by the Grammy-nominated Moody Brothers and Grand Ole Opry veteran George Hamilton IV . Bobby Dean is the stage name of Bobby Dean Edgmon, who owns and operates Edgmon Trucking from his home in Kent, Wash. Bobby Dean recently released what his label Lamon Records calls "a country music first." It's a 15-minute film called "Another Last Chance," produced by Elevating Entertainment.
