Together like Puzzle Pieces! Above: Our Lady Court 1211 in Portland-OR Court 1211 held a Santacruzan during Flores de Mayo, a flower festival celebrated in May to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary. A Santacruzan is a cultural presentation of women held in many cities and villages in the Philippines. Each maiden bears a title or virtue attributed to the Blessed Virgin Mary or various women of the Bible. This is the 5th year they have held it at the Grotto, the Shrine of Our Sorrowful Mother, in Portland. There were many helpers. Parents are very happy that their daughters are asked to participate in the Santacruzan. This year the Grotto was the beneficiary of Court 1211's Hearts and Hands; they raised $1,025 and NCSF matched $1,000. LOOKS BEAUTIFUL, Court 1211!! REACTIVATED!!! Left: St. Cecelia Court 449 in Mankato-MN The new officers are: President Joe Mocol, pictured at left with the framed charter; Recording Secretary Mary Beth Khwice (far left); and Recording Secretary Jon Mocol (far right).
