Fred Licciardi, C.PP.S. from St. Raymond Catholic Church in Mount Prospect, IL Fr. Fred Licciardi was born on July 28, 1950 in Chicago, IL. He was educated in Chicago's Catholic school system and entered Loyola university in Chicago in 1968. Fr. Fred graduated from Loyola in 1971 with a B.S. degree in Psychology. upon graduation, he was employed as a therapist at Riveredge Hospital in Forest Park for the next 2 years. In 1973 Fr. Fred entered graduate school at the university of West Florida and attained a master's degree in Clinical Psychology in 1974. He worked as a family and group therapist in the Bureau of Group Treatment, state of Florida from 1974 until 1978. In the late 70's Fr. Fred was called to the church. He entered the Society of the Most Precious Blood, a religious order founded in 1815 in Rome with a specific ministry of preaching retreats and missions. He completed his theological studies at Catholic Theological union, earning a master's degree in Theology with a specialization in the History of Christian Spirituality; and on May 28, 1982 he was ordained a priest. Fr. Fred returned to the u.S. in 2002, where he began an assignment as associate pastor at Holy Family Parish in Inverness, IL. In 2003 he was appointed associate pastor at St. Anne Church in Barrington, IL. Then in July of 2012, he was then appointed associate pastor of St. Raymond Church in Mount Prospect, IL. Members, you may recognize St. Raymond's as where we held our 120th anniversary Mass in 2011! Today we welcome Fr. Fred to the NCSF family as our spiritual leader; we look forward to his comments in upcoming NCF magazines! Pictured below: The Board of Directors welcome Fr. Fred. Fr. Fred's ministerial career included a beginning assignment as Associate Pastor at St. James Church in Columbus, OH. In 1984, he became a prison chaplain at London Correctional Institute in London, OH. In 1989, Fr. Fred was appointed a hospital chaplain at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. In 1992, he became Pastor of the English-speaking Catholic Mission in Zurich, Switzerland. During those 10 years, the mission tripled in membership with members from 59 different countries. Fall 2013 — www.ncsf.com 5
