BD Loops revamps its pizza wheel and wedge tool HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Loop installers may easily roll saw-cut loops to the bottom of the groove while standing by using the BD Loops pizza wheel and wedge tool. According to BD Loops general manager Brian Dickson, many loop installers use screwdrivers, paint mixers, sticks, or other tools to stuff saw-cut loops into saw-cut grooves. Those tools are not only inefficient, but some can knick the loop wire and cause the loop to short to ground, he noted. The BD Loops pizza wheel and wedge tool is made of smooth and durable PVC that will not knick the loop wire. The wedge tool allows installers to easily push wire down into 135° dog eared corner cuts. The roller is 1/8" thick and works best with BD Loops preformed sawcut loops, Dickson said. The latest version of the pizza wheel and wedge tool sports many minor improvements, including a 50% thicker axle for improved sturdiness. The 3/4"reducer coupler is now made with Schedule 80 PVC and can accept any length Schedule 80 handle. "The best improvement is the inclusion of our new clean out hook, a handy tool that easily removes stubborn sharp rocks and debris from the saw-cut groove," said Dickson. "It can also be used to pop out 'v-cut' yokes for easier installation." The tool is designed for saw-cut depths up to 2¼". (1¼" - 1½" is the recommended BD Loop saw-cut depth.)
