Designed by talented Canadian architect Doug Carrick, who has built many of Canada's top-rated courses, Greywolf features several holes that will be seared in your memory bank for a long time. "This is an incredible site which deserves a top championship course and I'm glad it was around in my lifetime. I'm very proud of the work at Greywolf," says Carrick. It's not often a designer will admit to focussing the routing of his layout around a specific hole but Carrick readily admits that the par 3 6th hole, known appropriately as "Cliffhanger", Greywolf's signature hole, was the centrepiece of his mountain canvas. Not surprisingly the hole has already secured a place amongst the best golf holes in the world. Here, golfers face an island green perched across the aptly name "Hopeful Canyon" with a cliff on the front left and back of the green. This stunning hole is truly one of golf's "must-plays." In early 2013, Totem Golf, operating out of Cochrane, Alberta, purchased the golf course outright and began its transformation of Greywolf. Cart path resurfacing, course clean up, turf facility upgrades, new cart fleet with GPS, a new clubhouse facility and many more upgrades have been completed or are currently underway.
