Cohn Winery's second generation redefines the estate brand his year marks the 30th anni- versary of B.R. Cohn Winery in the Sonoma Valley, founded at the site of the 90-acre property pur- chased by Bruce Cohn and his fam- ily 10 years earlier. Since then, the winery has established a solid reputa- tion for producing cabernet sauvignon from the Olive Hill Estate Vineyard and award-winning olive oils from 140-year-old picholine trees on the estate. B.R. Cohn is also known for raising millions of dollars through its annual musical fundraiser featuring The Doobie Brothers, the legendary rock band Bruce Cohn has managed since the early 1970s. Bruce and Sharon Cohn's eldest son, Dan, was born in 1974, the same year the family purchased the prop- erty. After a childhood spent hanging out with his father's famous musical friends and working odd jobs in the cel- lar with talented winemakers including Helen Turley, Merry Edwards and Steve MacRostie, Dan Cohn officially joined the family business in 1993.
