Judges awarded a total of five Best of Show awards, 43 Best of Class designations, 38 double gold and 125 gold medals. Competition judges recognized Results have been announced for the 2014 International Women's Wine Competition (IWWC), held June 25 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, Calif. Organized by Vineyard & Winery Management, the annual competi- tion features an all-female judging crew comprised of respected wine professionals. Out of more than 975 wines entered in the competition, the Matrix Winery 2012 Bacigalupi Matrix Winery 2012 Bacigalupi Reserve Pinot Noir wins Best of Show 2 0 1 4 Scene at: Best Red: Matrix Winery 2012 Pinot Noir, Bacigalupi Reserve, Russian River Valley ($52) Best White: Roku 2013 Estate Riesling, Monterey County ($9.99) Best Sparkling: Gloria Ferrer 2010 Blanc de Blancs, Carneros ($40) Best Rosé: Nichelini Family Winery 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé, Napa ($25) Best Dessert: Galen Glen 2013 Estate Grown Vidal Blanc Ice Wine, Pennsylvania ($37.99) Full competition results are posted at www.winecompetitions.com and www.enofileonline.com.
