National President's Message Dear Members of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. This is the time of year to get together with families and friends. We spend the four weeks of Advent preparing for that very Holy night, when the Lord of Love will come. We see decorations in homes and yards, in offices, in town parks, in churches and halls, but the place where we really need to see and find the spirit of Christmas is in our minds and hearts. WHAT DID YOU DO SPECIAL FOR SOMEONE? God sent his Son over two thousand years ago. God placed in these babies' hands the salvation of the world. He was born to ordinary parents, in a stable not a hospital with twenty doctors looking on. The Angels told the shepherds of the good news, the Kings followed the star, are you listening to His word, are you following Jesus' light? During these long winter days you might need to take in an extra few B vitamins. Be nice, be kind, be helpful, be a mentor, be courteous, be a Christian in your words, thoughts, and actions. The devil is out and around all of us trying to destroy, let the light of Jesus shine through you for everyone to see. 2012: A BRAND NEW YEAR A brand new year is dawning. What do you hope the year 2012 will bring? Are you hoping to start kindergarten, or high school, or college? Are you an expectant mother hoping for a healthy baby girl or boy? Maybe you're hoping that this is the year you will find a job, or is it going to be the year your son, that you haven't heard from in ten years, calls to talk to you? The doctor might tell you your loved one has cancer, or there has been a terrible car accident and someone close to you dies. We all have our hopes and dreams, our trials and tribulations, and it is our faith that will bring us through. It is not our will, but the Lord's will that it will be done. NEW ANNUITY RATES With the start of 2012 we are making some changes: As of January 1st 2012 we have new annuity rates. A seven year over $5,000.00 will have an interest rate of 4.75% and a ten year over $5,000.00 will have an interest rate of 5.25% for the first year. You can start an annuity with as little as $300.00 with an interest rate of 4.25% for the first year. More information about these rates can be found on page 26. continued on page 4 ... our faith will bring us through. It is not our will, but the Lord's will that it will be done.
