C y St. Mary Court 892 was organized on January 12, 1912. They have always been active in their parish and community. Since 2004 Court 892 has raised $15,220.31 through Hearts and Hands events and the Society has matched $2,600; that's a total of $17,820.31 into the local community of Wadena!! St. Mary Court 892's most memorable Hearts and Hands event was in the spring of 2005. They held a spaghetti dinner with silent auction that raised $9,144 and NCSF matched $1,000! The funds went to cancer patient Nicole Breid to help offset medical expenses. Their success lies in teamwork and strong community involvement, however the success of St. Mary Court 892 does not stop with the Hearts and Hands program. St. Mary Court 892 knows how to plan ahead. Their smart planning leads to the success of their endeavors as a court. For example, St. Mary Court 892 donates to the local food shelf in the spring. They make their donations when, as a state-wide effort, donations are matched by 6 o since 1912 ST. MARY COURT 892 OF WADENA, MINNESOTA CELEBRATES 100 YEARS participating businesses. In autumn they help with fall festivals. This past December, St. Mary Court 892 planned ahead by donating 18 shares of $5.00 bonds toward the AJ Saints Youth Program; these funds can be used for such events as the NCYC, Castaway and Sr. High Youth Rally! Jane Uselman, national director and president of Court 892, recognizes the diffi culties in remaining relevant as a court today — however she believes what keeps their court active is their optimism. Court 892 looks forward to changes that keep up the fraternal momentum! The social aspect is also enjoyed by all. Court 892 meets once a month for business; they include a fun theme like 'Burger Night' or treats such as ice cream and coffee.
