HONDA GC SERIES The Honda GC Series offers powerful, versa- tile functionality that adds value to any engine- powered product. These compact, lightweight, 4-stroke engines were designed for home-use power equipment applications. Featured inno- vations include the world's first internal timing belt, the high efficiency and performance of an overhead cam layout, and the durability and light weight of uniblock construction. The combination of a compact combustion cham- ber, overhead cam configuration and uniblock construction significantly reduces fuel and oil consumption as compared to conventional side-valve engines. Honda's DuaLube System achieves full engine lubrication by combining governor slinger paddles and an oil-delivering timing belt. The simple construction reduces maintenance needs, making Honda's GC engines efficient and cost effective. Honda Engines OPTI-MIZER MAX ETHANOL FUEL TREATMENT & STABILIZER Opti-Mizer MAX is the result of 3 years of research and development by Interlube International Inc. and is the only fuel treatment that comes with an ethanol warranty for up to 6 years. Its advanced formula offers 4 distinct layers of protection. First, it keeps fuel fresh through suspension and dispersal of water, resins, gums and deposits. Second, it raises the phase separation threshold, allowing fuel to tolerate more water before separation. Third, it lessens ethanol fuel damage with 10 times the standard anti-corrosion capabilities. If these 3 layers are not enough to protect your custom- ers, the fourth layer of protection kicks in: provides warranty coverage for ethanol repairs. Opti-Mizer MAX is the only product covered by an ethanol warranty. Interlube International Inc. KAWASAKI'S NEW EFI SYSTEM NOW ON FIRST FX SERIES ENGINE Kawasaki's new FX730V-EFI engine boasts the most technologically advanced electronic fuel injection (EFI) system ever built by the company. It incorporates a fully integrated electronic governor and an advanced ECU that instantly matches power to cutting load and ground speed. These new features will allow professional landscapers to mow lawns more efficiently with the same Kawasaki performance and reliability they have come to expect. The all-new Kawasaki EFI will be avail- able on select models of FX Series and FS Series engines, with plans to incorporate it in additional models. Commercial usage calls for specific demands, and this system responds with features focused on those needs. Helping to avoid typical hillside-mowing slowdowns, the load-matching e-governor keeps drive wheels and cutting blades working at peak productiv- ity. The elimination of power loss through the entire load range lets operators move quickly through almost any turf conditions. Kawasaki's renowned cutting power allows users to cover wider areas at a faster pace, serving up uni- form results. Designed to provide the utmost in support to professional landscapers, this 25.5- hp. EFI powerplant is a feature-laden entry in Kawasaki's already-strong family of engines. Kawasaki Engines KOHLER CONFIDANT EFI Kohler Engines is expanding its electronic fuel injection (EFI) technology with the introduc- tion of the Confidant EFI engine line. The new engine lineup includes 4 models ranging between 20 and 27 hp. These models offer the benefits of Kohler's closed-loop EFI technol- ogy, including enhanced fuel efficiency, greater overall reliability, and easier starting in a wide variety of conditions. The Confidant EFI line also includes an option with recoil starting — the first engine to offer recoil starting in combination with electronic fuel injection. All of the new models are ideal for ZTR mowers and are anticipated to deliver an estimated 25 per- cent in fuel savings when compared to similar Kohler carbureted engines under comparable load conditions.
