Custom Rigs ReadeR Rigs 56 | Overdrive | April 2016 Fiery 379 Richard Hartman of Fremont, Ind., uses this 2000 Peterbilt 379 to make heavy hauls for Kusmenko Kustom Farming of Zap, N.D., normally pulling a Trail King 9x60 RGN. The truck has a 550-hp Caterpillar, a 13-speed transmission and a 300-inch 4-axle wheelbase. The cab and bunk are 2002 models featuring Legacy low-rider seats and Brazilian hardwood floors, dash and door inserts. A lift axle was added, along with stainless rear fend- ers, a fiberglass hood with no rivets and a green fire paint scheme that's also on the hood's underside. A not-so-old yeller James Dockery uses his 2013 Peterbilt 389 and Vantage bulk tank to haul cement to Houston for Texas Lehigh Cement of Buda, Texas. The truck, which is painted Mayfield dairy yellow, has a 500-hp Cummins ISX engine with an 18-speed transmission and 3:55 rears.
